Liars
Laura Marling
Gorillaz
The Knife
Well looking forward to Liars.
High on Fire too at some stage I think.
we've got them doing a takeover
really excited, some of the ideas they have are great
Also
1st: Archie Bronson Outfit, Blood Red Shoes, Emma Pollock
8th: Broken Bells, Teenage Fanclub, Pavement best of
22nd: Laura Marling
and Eluvium
and DAUGHTERS
is Eluvium not out already?
Didn't know about Daughters. That should be sweet.
well I preordered it at the start of the month
and still don't have it, so I'm assuming it isn't.
DAUGHTERSDAUGHTERSDAUGHTERSDAUGHTERS
AWESOME.
Blackjazz was released yesterday
Or have I completely lost it?
Good pick up there though, March is rich indeed.
on a Friday???
Amazon.co.uk says Montag. Either way, it's a grand album.
Perhaps it was an early delivery!
Great album indeed
Waaaaaaaaaaaah?!
It's been on Spotify for a month or so! January 25 was when it was released I think.
they might have been import copies ot
*or something
my friend's been banging on about it for ages, but i haven't been able to find a copy on amazon until now
some acts
are streaming stuff to try to stop those pesky pie rats!
plus
small labels have almost no choice/say in when things go on spotify. one of our recent releases was up there two weeks before it was released.
for me
Joanna Newsom
Babybird
(both of which arrived nice and early today)
Clem Snide (ordered from America, no release date here yet)
and I think the Beulah singer has a solo album out in March that might be interesting.
The ones I care about
are Joanna Newsom and Souljazz Orchestra - Rising Sun (released on the 8th). But then I've actually got nothing from this year yet...
was gonna start this thread on monday but thank you for starting it now
some really great stuff ahead.
i'd recommend folks check out:
broken bells (loving this album!)
jonsi (really special, quite sufjan-y, interview coming up!)
frightened rabbit
blood red shoes
liars
erykah badu
jj - no.3
white hinterland (lush ladytron, broadcast, bat for lashes, lykke li kinda thang)
also, is there a new wu-tang album or is it a collection? (in a bit of a rush so not researched it) http://www.metacritic.com/music/upcomingreleases.shtml
BESNARD LAKES
I have a feeling they could become pretty big if the records a winner.
I haven't pre-ordered an album in about 3 years, but this one I have.
It is awesome.
actually
i think jonsi has gone back to april
Wu Massacre is Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon
Affectionately known as MethGhostRae.
Should be absolutely brilliant, either way.
They put out a promo mixtape as well. 40 tracks, I'm still trawling through it...
http://nahright.com/news/2010/02/22/meth-ghost-rae-avenging-eagles-mixtape/
Joanna Newsom
Frightened Rabbit
The Ruby Suns
Goldfrapp
I was going to say She & Him, but I think it has moved to April
well i'm utterly biased and i'm releasing it
but, well, it would be great if anyone liked the new Trouble Books record, Gathered Tones, which I'm releasing on Monday.
The new Titus Andronicus album is
absolutely massive.
A few not mentioned yet
that I'll have half an ear on - Serena Maneesh, Strange Boys, The Ruby Suns, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Kissaway Trail, Crookers, Quasi and for a laugh Music Go Music.
gonjasufi
Standard Fare - The Noyelle Beat
has the potential to be indiepop album of the year, and while it's available been on mail order for a while that's officially out on the 29th.
Trash Kit
the album is supposed to be out on upset the rhythm this month. there's also a release party thats only £3!
trash kit are
kinda balls tho.
wooooo, another girl band playing shambolic, angular no-wavey stuff!!!!
no need to be like that.
I don't have time for bands who do what you've described in a boring, identikit way, but I really don't think they do. Yeah, it is another post-punk-y girl band, but I think all their songs are great.
Alcest have one coming out soon
artwork is really pretty
Daedalus
Some nice synthy Brainfeeder sponsored wobble on Righteous Fists of Harmony
lower than atlantis "far q"
out on march 29th i'm stoked about it
plus blood red shoes and gorillaz's new albums!
OPTION FUCKING PARALYSIS.
that is all.
im most looking forwardto the galaxie 500 reissues
Kazumasa Hashimoto has a new album out this week, apparently.
It's called Strangeness. I might add it to my want-list.
