Jef: Eric Clapton at the Albert Hall. Not many people know I'm a guitarist at heart

Jef: Ooh.... 'Don’t bring me down' I think. So simple and so uplifting.

Jef: I’m not much of a "Scener" personally. so any answer is gonna be vague....err...Juggernaut!

Joe- Last Record Bought?

Jef: I cant really afford to buy music....

err..Placebo's latest album. but didn’t pay for it so that doesn’t really count, last one was probably the Hybrid album, about a year ago! I have a cable modem so I just download everything, don’t tell anyone though. It's immoral.

Joe- Starsailor-Quality or Hype?

Jef: Oooh..... Haven’t heard the album. Did notice that the video to the Alcoholic song is just like an Embrace video.

Joe- Strokes-Quality or Hype?

Jef: First I thought complete hype... but having seen them at Reading I’ve changed my mind. Still some hype; I cant get over excited about a band that isn’t really original in any way. Good tunes though

Jef: Neither.... I read Drowned in Sound! Haha!

Joe- Best Oxford Band To Look Out For?

Jef: The Rock Of Travolta. They rock.

Joe- Does NAM exist?? Are You Part Of It?

Jef: I think it does exist. If someone says it does then surely it does? If you can't see the cat is it there?(!) What am I talking about? Turin brakes are NAM. Not Goldrush

Joe- Current Song You Can't Stand

Jef: 'Heaven is a half pipe'. MTV2 plays music which 'subverts the norm' 'hates pop'.... or whatever rubbish they spout... what do u call 'heaven is a halfpipe' if not pop? Crap I guess.

Joe- Band Who've most influenced Goldrush?

Jef: There isn’t a primary influence as such.... The Band, maybe.... but that’s not a definitive answer. Ultravox. thats right.

Joe- Record which changed your life?

jef says: 'Kilimanjaro' by Ed Rush. Converted me from my obsessive 'only real instruments count' phase

Joe- Favourite Member Of Goldrush?

Jef: Huh? That’s an odd question. My one?

Joe- Yeah! Who do you get on with best in the band? Or are you all really close?

Jef: We all pretty much get on as well/badly as each other. Robin gets hit and Crys quite a lot. But he deserves it, we are all mates. Definitely

Joe- Whose going to win the Mercurys??

Jef: Elbow? I dunno I dont follow these things

Joe- What are you looking forward more to- Touring alone or with Elbow?

Jef: With Elbow... for many reasons. Mainly cos we'll have a DVD player in our van. It'll be a much more.... comfortable tour.. and Elbow will draw great crowds for us. Which is nice and I'll get to see them about 18 times for free!

Joe- Coldplay-Great Band or MOR Media Whores?

Jef: Not the first, dunno about the second. I’m not really a fan.

Joe- Travis-Great band or MOR Media Whores?

Jef: Travis? My opinion is improving slowly... but there is a long way to go for me. The new single is nice.

Joe- Best Moment so far in Goldrush?

Jef: Truck 2001 I think. It felt.... validating(?).
